Default settings

A plugin is an extension to the Login AM run time and GUI for the configuration of specific functionality, i.e. the Deployment plugin enables the installation of software on a target machine. A plugin also specifies the default settings for the plugin.

To edit the default options of the Plugin Settings navigate to Options -> Plugin Settings as depicted above.

For each plugin, a tab is shown in the package and collection views. On these tabs, the plugin settings can be overridden, i.e. on the deployment tab for a package, we can specify a different installation folder than what is configured in the deployment plugin by default.

 

Collection level plugin settings

Each plugin can be enabled on a package and a collection level. Making it possible to disable plugins for the entire collection, or just disabling the plugin for a specific package.

By default, each plugin is disabled on both Collection and Package level. To enable a plugin for a collection to the following:

  • Select the collection in the navigation panel (left)
  • When needed; click the View/Hide disabled plugin icon LoginAM Basics Plugins icon 01.png
  • Select the relevant plugin from the tab control
  • Set the override check-box for the Enable <plugin name> and set the desired values

To enable a plugin for a package:

  • Select the package in the navigation panel (left)
  • When needed; click the View/Hide disabled plugin icon
  • Select the relevant plugin from the tab control
  • Set the override check-box for the Enable <plugin name> actions and set the desired values
