Removing Logon Scripts
Step 1
Logon to the Domain Controller / Active Directory host.
Step 2
Open a file explorer window and browse to the \\localhost\NETLOGON location. Or browse to the C:\WINDOWS\sysvol\sysvol\*yourdomain*\scripts location.
Step 3
Locate and delete the following logonscripts:
- V4-VSI_Launcher.cmd
- V4-VSI_Logon.cmd
Done!
You have now successfully removed the Logon Scripts from your environment.
Removing Login VSI AD Entries
Step 1
Logon to the Domain Controller / Active Directory host.
Step 2
Open the Active Directory - Users and Computers console and browse to the LoginVSI OU.
Step 3 (Optional)
Go to the LoginVSI > Computers OU and move every computer to a different OU. If you do not do this all computer entries will be lost!
Step 4
Right-click on the LoginVSI OU and press Delete.
Done!
You have now removed all of the Login VSI users / groups.
Removing the Login VSI GPO's
Step 1
Logon to the Domain Controller / Active Directory host.
Step 2
Open the Group Policy Management Console.
Step 3
Open the Group Policy Objects folder
Step 4
Browse for and delete the VSI User-V4 and VSI System-V4 GPO
Step 5
Done!
Step 1
Make sure all sessions connected to your VSIshare are disconnected so that there are no active users on your share. For windows machines you can easily check this in the Computer Management. To open this simply open a Run box and type: "compmgmt.msc".
Once the Computer Management window is open go to Shared Folders > Sessions and close every session. See screenshot:
Step 2
Make sure the Dataserver containing the VSI share has no applications open that are located in the VSI share.
Step 3
Please browse to the overlaying folder of the VSIshare (so if you installed the VSIshare on C:\VSIShare please browse to C:\)
Step 4
Select and remove the VSI Share folder! See screenshot:
Done!
You have now successfully uninstalled Login VSI from your environment.
