When creating / modifying application scripts you use Visual Studio Code. Intellisense is a functionality that highlights / autofills code to make scripting easier. As a requirement we ask you to install the C# plugin. However there is an issue with the latest version of the C# plugin. The latest version that is supplied is 1.20.0 at time of writing. The version that works is the previous, 1.19.1.
Solution / Workaround:
If intellisense is not working and you have the 1.20.0 C# plugin installed you need to downgrade in order to get it working. To do this follow these simple steps.
First we need to disable the auto-update of the extensions to make sure that the plugin is not auto-updated.
Open Visual Studio Code and go to File > Preferences > Settings
You are presented with a search bar. In this search bar type the following:
Once done you should see this option, disable it by unchecking the checkbox.
Once done click on the extensions button.
Right click on the C# plugin and select the "Install Another Version" option.
Select the version 1.19.1.
Once done please reload you are asked to reload the plugin.
You can do this by selecting the C# plugin and pressing the Reload button. Once done you can use Visual Studio Code as normal.
