Service Level Agreement (SLA) reporting has been designed to give you a short, simple and effective document that can give you the desired performance information. These reports are ideal for reporting on any service level agreements, as well as helping you understand how your infrastructure is performing over time. This report works great for operations reporting to management and/or service customers.
This section tells you how to generate these reports from the historical data gathered by Login Enterprise during its operational processes (per day/week/month).
To create a new report, go to "Continuous Testing Results" in the Login Enterprise Web Interface and open the "SLA Report" tab. Click the "Add new report" button to start the SLA Report setup wizard.
Next, fill in the Name, Environment, Schedule time-frame (Daily, Weekly or Monthly), Email Notification, Description and if preferred a custom logo can be set for the report.
The Email Notification function consists of 2 options. You can Enable it, and configure an email address for the report's recipient. This recipient may be management, or a customer. This requires that the Email Settings have been configured. For more information, see this article on Email Alerting.
As of Login Enterprise 4.11, multiple email addresses can now be used. To enter multiple emails, simply place commas in between each address.
Note: If the recipient field is left empty, but Email Notifications are enabled, the default email address located in the Email Settings of Login Enterprise is chosen.
You can also customize the report with your company logo. This functionality supports the jpeg, jpg, png and svg image formats with a maximum file size of 1 MB.
Once the previous settings are saved you are able to add measurements and thresholds to the SLA Report. This can be customized to fit your needs. To add a measurement thresholds click the "Add new threshold" button in the upper right corner.
The "Add new threshold" function looks like this. You can configure which application, which measurement of said application and of course the time limit of that needs to be reported in the SLA Report. All measurements that go over this limit will be reported in the SLA Report.
Once configured the SLA Report overview will look something like this:
Please note that reports will not be generated immediately unless you click on "Manually generate report now". If you have set the schedule to daily, you will see your first report after a day.
To generate a manual report, click on "Manually generate report". Select the desired date and click on "generate".
Weekly and Monthly reports are generated weekly and monthly, respectively. Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports can be deleted as necessary.
Starting from version 4.4.X and upwards we display the report date of the SLA report. This simply means that we show the time frame the report was created from.
NOTE: The Application Success value in the SLA Report represents the status of the entire workload script to complete successfully.
Opened reports look something like this;
