In some environments there is an issue where a popup appears saying that Outlook is not the default email application. Even though this might be configured in GPO's, or local system it still might popup. To solve this, there are multiple solutions:
- Go to the \\VSIShare\_VSI_Workloads\Official Workloads folder
- Copy the used workload
- Paste the workload in the \\VSIShare\_VSI_Workloads\Custom Workloads
- Rename it (add a fixed to the end or something like this, just to make it unique)
- Open the renamed workload file
- Add the following lines in the "Prepare Phase"
VSI_RegWrite("Workload", "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\%VSI_Office_Version%.0\Outlook\Options\General", "Check Default Client", "REG_DWORD", "00000000")
VSI_RegWrite("Workload", "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\%VSI_Office_Version%.0\Outlook\Options\General", "PONT_STRING", "REG_SZ", "53")
VSI_RegWrite("Workload", "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\%VSI_Office_Version%.0\Outlook\Options\General", "PONT_STRING", "REG_SZ", "46")
More functions when using the PONT_STRING of Outlook can be found here, separating the numbers by a space you are able to configure multiple settings at once.
