Overview

With Login Enterprise Launcher now available on the IGEL App Portal, you can deploy performance-testing endpoints on IGEL OS devices in minutes. This guide shows you how to import the Launcher app into your IGEL UMS so it’s ready for centralized distribution and management.

Prerequisites

  • IGEL OS device(s): Already set up and registered in UMS, and intended to run as Login Enterprise Launchers
  • IGEL UMS 12: Fully installed, licensed, registered, and able to access the IGEL App Portal

Steps

  1. Log in to UMS Web with an account that has Admin or Super-Admin rights.
  2. Click App Portal in the left sidebar.

Now you’re ready to assign Login Enterprise Launcher to your IGEL OS devices and begin performance testing at scale! To deploy the Login Enterprise Launcher to the IGEL OS Device(s), refer to Getting the Login Enterprise Launcher onto IGEL Devices.

Alternative: Local On-Device Installation

If you prefer not to use UMS, you can install directly on an IGEL OS 12 device:

  1. Open the App Portal application on the IGEL device
  2. Search for Login Enterprise Launcher.
  3. Click Install.

Note: Direct device installs bypass UMS but lack centralized control. UMS import is the recommended approach.

Next steps

    1. Note that when a Login Enterprise Launcher update occurs, the Launcher’s appsettings file needs to be updated. For details, see steps 1 through 7 in Updating the Login Enterprise Launcher.
  2. To get the Virtual Appliance certificate set up in IGEL, see Getting the Login Enterprise certificate into UMS and onto the Device.
