Starting in Login Enterprise 5.3, the product is capable of gathering Windows performance counters during a test run. However, in this initial release of session metrics, performance counters are always retrieved whether they are enabled in the test or not. If performance counters are disabled in Windows in your end-user remote desktop, LoginPI.engine.exe will crash with a NullReferenceException or a System.ArgumentException without performing any tests, after failing to retrieve the metric data. In the Login Enterprise console, you will see a connection initialization timeout error event.
This is fixed in Login Enterprise 5.4.6.
Exception Info: System.NullReferenceException
